DarkRider's Dimension

One of the things I learned early in my modding education is that the modding community is just that: a community. It's a fellowship of likeminded people who share a passion for something that is difficult for non-modders to understand let alone appreciate. I am fortunate to have met some great modders in the months I have been studying the craft and cruising the forums. So, I decided it would be cool to routinely feature other modders and their current projects here as a way of giving back a little to the community and showing my appreciation for all their hard work! ~DarkRider 

I knew of this modder in passing on the Bethesda Softworks forums, but never actually met him until I was in desperate need of some direction with my own animal companion. My research on other animal companions lead me to Hobbs and the masterfully crafted Shadow Ranger mod. On the verge of defeat, I turned to the master himself for advice. Hobbs graciously offered some time and hard won knowledge to help me fine tune the Blades Wolf Companion for Reclaiming Sancre Tor.

The Shadow Ranger mod is definately ranked among the highest of animal companion mods. The story begins when the player receives an invitation to the camp of the Shadow Rangers, an elusive faction of true rangers who subsit in the wilds of Cyrodiil. Upon your induction you are given the choice of an animal companion to aid you in your travels and with it, the key to unlocking the seductive powers of the Shadow Ranger...

While there are no quests in the traditional sense, the Shadow Ranger mod offers a complex and fully integrated companion system which allows the player to train their animal partner in a variety of skills as well as unlock the creature's full potential. In addition, the player has access to several new armors and weaponry options, all well suited to a true ranger character!!! This mod is a must-have for all Ranger role players!!!
